One pattern covers every comparison in Arabic: أفعل. Learn the shape and you can compare anything.وزنٌ واحد للمقارنة كلها: «أفعل».

Use من: غرفتي أكبرُ من غرفةِ أخي — my room is bigger than my brother's room.يُستعمل «من» للمفاضلة: أكبرُ من.
Adjectives that will not fit the أفعل shape use أكثر + noun: أكثر راحة (more comfortable), أكثر أهمية (more important).ما لا يُصاغ منه «أفعل» يُقال فيه: أكثر + مصدر.
Put the same أفعل word first in an إضافة: أكبر غرفة — the biggest room. No الـ needed.التفضيل المطلق بالإضافة: أكبر غرفة.
