Present tense

زمن المضارع

zaman al-muḍāriʿ

The present tense is the backbone of this whole topic. Every routine sentence, every preference, every description of how you feel uses it.زمن المضارع أساس هذا الموضوع كله؛ عليه يقوم وصف الروتين والتفضيل والشعور.

The idea

Arabic does not change the verb stem for each person. It puts a different letter on the FRONT. Learn those four letters and you can conjugate almost any verb.لا يتغير أصل الفعل، وإنما يتغير حرف المضارعة في أوله.

The four prefixes حروف المضارعة
